Funeral flowers?

ive got a funeral on saturday, what flowers do u take,

the guy was welsh

Funeral flowers?
Im sure his family would love to see any floral tribute. The fact you made the effort is all that counts.
Reply:You normally find out the name of the funeral director and have the flowers sent to them. Since you can%26#039;t get daffodils at this time of the year and leeks aren%26#039;t very decorative, I%26#039;d leave it up to the florist.
Reply:Different scenario, I know, but when my mother died I took some freesias to the funeral directors, saw my mother in her coffin, put the freesias in the coffin with her, blessed her, cried buckets, but next day at the funeral I didnt take or send any flowers. I%26#039;d done it. I still can%26#039;t see freesias without thinking of that day.

Take some cyclamen. My wife and I bought lots of small pots of cyclamen to the funeral of a friend last autumn. Several people asked after the wake if it would be OK to take a pot home with them. Of course it was all right.
Reply:Daffodils are a possibility but I don%26#039;t know where you would get them at this time of the year. I went to a funeral not so long ago and I was the only person who took flowers, but there hadn%26#039;t been a no flowers notice given, I felt a bit awkward, but left them anyway.
Reply:any that are yellow

good luck

ive been to 2 this year aswell

my grans and my mother in laws
Reply:A variation is to take flowers to the bereaved the day before, instead.

They will decorate the house if there is a wake.

The act of arranging and caring for flowers is a gentle way for the bereaved to spend a little time the day before the funeral.

The scent is lovely.

whatever you choose will be an expression of your remembering both the dead and the living left behind, so enjoy choosing what you like
Reply:You don%26#039;t take flowers to the funeral home. You order and have them sent ahead of time. Anything within your budget is fine. I like dish gardens or plants because the family can take them home.
Reply:I think its personal choice and your budget

Some florist wreaths are averaging about £60

You could just tell the florist how much you have and let them design a bouquet for you that would be suitable
Reply:Some excellent suggestions here though you may want to check with the family or the funeral directors whether or not it is family flowers only. Many people are doing this now and would prefer a small donation to the charity of their choice...usually given to the funeral directors.
Reply:Do the family want you to send flowers? Maybe try asking them what they would like done or what he would have wanted.
Reply:We (Greeks) usually take carnations.
Reply:I think sunflowers would be very nice and bright and they are in season just now
Reply:You could get a nice bunch of cut flowers if you are economising, whatever the florist has in stock Do make sure you check to see that the family haven%26#039;t asked for donations to charity instead.
Reply:The national flower of Wales is the daffodil !

I am sorry for your loss.
Reply:I always order from Florist a Tree that is in very pretty bucket.

Later Family members can decide and plant it outdoors.
Reply:Anything you like! As he was Welsh why not some red and white ones (would suggest daffodils but you wont get them this time of year), or even some the same colour as his fav football team, the decision is yours. Speak to your local florist and they will advise you.

When my nephew died a group of us clubbed together to get his name done.
Reply:If you%26#039;re unsure of colour then an entirely white wreath can be the way to go as it matches everyone elses and is respectful.

But i would check with the family.

I asked the florist what to do when i got mine. they told me all white.
Reply:first of all make sure the family want flowers. Any florist will make a nice spray for you and deliver it to the undertaker just tell them how much you want to pay
Reply:a nice spray in his national colour%26#039;s ask the florist
